Check out the introductions below and get  a little insight to the women that you will learn more about.  Theirs something to learn from each of them.

 Hello Fellow follows:

Yes, 2020 and you are wondering where's that darn book she's been promising.  To tell the truth, everything has been transcibed from all of the interviews.  Launching my book is  a timing thing.   There’s been  interruptions from family and personal agenda’s, the ever changing political environment and a little procrastination on my part.

So I promise, the book will be coming soon.

INTRODUCTION

This brief section will explain to its readers just what to expect from the upcoming biographies. It will discuss the take-away topics, which are intertwined throughout the various women's lives. It will talk about how each of these corporate executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals have dealt with such topics as fear, opportunity, motivation, goals, leadership, balance, drive, self-confidence, overcoming obstacles, taking risks, and improving one's skills. Essentially this introduction will help readers get some clue as to what they will get from this book, and how it might change his or her life.

CHAPTER ONE

BETTY MOWER
PRESIDENT, NORTHERN TRUST BANK

Desires... "Be aware of what you want—for you will get it." Ralph Waldo Emerson

It wasn't always smooth sailing, but against all odds, Betty Mower, a child of starkly humble beginnings, rose to the top of the banking industry. Born in Los Angeles to an American father, and a Filipino immigrant mother, the family lived on welfare for a good part of her life. Running with a bad crowd in high school, Betty's prospect for the future looked dim. Failing in school, and using drugs, Betty would seem to be the most unlikely candidate to eventually be running a bank. What was the pivotal point in Betty Mower's life, and how did she turn a physically abusive past into a bright future? Betty's story is an inspiration for anyone who can't imagine any light at the end of his or her very dark tunnel.

CHAPTER TWO

SUE PARKS
FORMER COO, KINKO'S AND GATEWAY
FOUNDER & CEO, WALKSTYLES

Goals... "Not doing more than the average is what keeps the average down." William Winans

"We all have choices in life. I look at every opportunity as a chance to solve problems. But, differences of opinion are healthy, and you don't have to be best friends with everyone you work with. Always try and solve your problems in a professional manner, but if there's a dynamic which just can't be fixed, and you've tried everything, look elsewhere and move on. Life's too short to be mired in something where you're unhappy."

There's nothing "average" about Sue Parks. Whether she's been driving sales or revenue growth at her company, or figuring out how to get a team to function as a unit, Parks has always been very clear-headed about how to get the job done, and how to avoid office politics in the process. She's a keen observer of people, which has served her well as COO of both Kinko's and Gateway, and in her endeavor, as founder and CEO of her company, "Walkstyles". Parks' inspiration for her company came as a result of being a 10,000 step a day walker, and she's now engaged in helping others live healthy, active lifestyles. Her story will take readers on a step-by-step journey through corporate America, and walk us through the leap into becoming an entrepreneur, leader.

CHAPTER THREE

CAROL BARTZ
FORMER CEO, MEMBER OF THE UNITED STATES PRESIDENTS COUNSEL ON SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
FORMER CEO, AUTODESK
FORMER CEO, YAHOO

Genius... "Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration." Thomas Edison

"Early on in my career, I saw the potential in making horizontal moves. I'm a firm believer in building your career like a pyramid, not a ladder. You should build your pyramid in layers - - with many different kinds of experiences. Everything you do doesn't have to be part of a master plan. Instead, be opportunistic. Above all, don't wait for the "perfect job". You can learn and grow in any job. Unconventional wisdom? Perhaps. But, Carol Bartz has proven her theories correct.

As CEO of one of the world's most important technology companies on the planet, she knows whereof she speaks. She's worked every side of the aisle... from marketing and sales to product development and customer support. She's a firm believer in making sure she understands everyone's job before trying to bring a team together and rise to the top. Carol's insights are invaluable to anyone attempting to plot his or her career path.

CHAPTER FOUR

CHELL SMITH
FORMER CEO, CAPGEMINI ERNST & YOUNG

Chance... "Why not go out on the limb? Isn't that where the fruit is?" Frank Scully

As the oldest of 7 children, whose mother died at the age of 18, Chell Smith will be the first to tell you that she initially had no career goals and no long-range visions. But, her story is a virtual road map of starting from ground zero and figuring out your niche. "I'm not a salesperson, I never have been. I'm not good at that. But, I had an ability to translate into plain English what people could do on the computer, and that was a rare skill at that point in time." Chell Smith's story is that of single mother, cancer survivor, and all around indomitable spirit. Her rise to the top and her "never say die" spirit will quite literally make a believer out of anyone.

CHAPTER FIVE

JAN DEHESH
FORMER EXEC. V.P., QUALCOMM
FOUNDER, DEHESH INTERNATIONAL, INC.

Wealth... "Spend some time alone and learn to develop your personal resources." Alexander Reid Martin

Jan Dehesh was always a visionary. She knew that going with a large multinational company, and getting to the top, could be a long arduous struggle. Instead, Dehesh took her chances, and went with a start-up... a little known company called Qualcomm. "I started as a secretary, at a company where I knew some of the folks on the new management team. I recognized early on that because of the technology and the brainpower behind this company it would grow. When I started, there were 80 employees. We grew to over 11,000."

Dehesh's story will take you on a rollercoaster ride... from re-organizing the mailroom, to negotiating a title and a corner office. This is a woman who had a plan, and she'll impart to everyone how to surmount fears, and accomplish one's goals... without compromising one's integrity. Hers is a story of true grit and determination, a story of seizing opportunities and paying it forward. Everyone can learn from her experiences.

CHAPTER SIX

LINDSEY BURROUGHS
V.P., GEN. MGR., COX BUSINESS SERVICES, SAN DIEGO

Giving... "We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give." Winston Churchill

If at first you don't succeed, start over. That's the underlying theme of Lindsey Burrough's success. She never quit, she never let setbacks get her down, and she's never been afraid to leave her comfort zone. "I have a long and torturous path to where I'm sitting today. I began by getting a bachelor's degree in speech and hearing, went out and worked for 10 days as a speech and hearing therapist, and decided I absolutely hated it. I quit." Lindsey's entire career has been about creating jobs when she was told one didn't exist. She's the absolute queen of bravado, and has talked her way into many a job, always backing it up with her tremendous know-how. Lindsey's low quotient for boredom has propelled her to welcome new challenges, always on the lookout for a niche that hasn't been filled. Lindsey's career choices may seem odd, but her unabashed determinism will serve as a guide for an alternative road to the top.

CHAPTER SEVEN

MARTHA DANIEL
FOUNDER, PRES., CEO, IMRI

Work... "Work, continuous work and hard work, is the only way to accomplish results that last." Hamilton Holt

Martha Daniel will not be controlled... period. Perhaps her unfettered determinism is a backlash to her childhood, where she grew up in the Deep South at a time of rampant segregation. Forced to drink from dirty "colored only" drinking fountains, Martha Daniel's early experiences would serve as a driving force later in her life. "I remember asking my mother why we couldn't drink from the clean drinking fountains, and she told me simply... because we can't. That triggered something in me. My whole life became about never being told again that I couldn't do something. I would gain control of my destiny." Through a stint in the military, and a drive to get a good education, Martha never lost sight of her objectives. Martha Daniel has always had one overriding principle. If you don't want to be controlled, take control. Her journey is one of overcoming one obstacle after another, beginning with the death of her father at the young age of two. For anyone who thinks the odds are just stacked against them, they will read this story and know that it's not where you start, but where you finish.

CHAPTER EIGHT

DIANE ESTRADA
FORMER V.P. MARKETING, NEA-MATIA
CHIEF MKTG. OFFICER, OFFHOLLYWOOD.COM

Life... "There is only one success: To be able to spend your life in your own way." Christopher Morley

There is no other way to describe Diane Estrada other than as a trailblazer. Entering the workforce in the early '70's, when opportunities for women were lacking, Diane was always determined to change that whole dynamic. Working her way up from secretary to salesperson, her first experience with gender discrimination came at a time when she had reached a sales pinnacle, albeit still being paid a very low salary. At that point her company hired an outside salesman to take over her territory, and pay him commission on accounts which Diane had built. Her boss's now incredulous response to her dismay?

"Diane, there are no women in plastics!" Giving 90 days notice, she plodded ahead to a company that would simply compensate her for her hard work. That's been her philosophy since long before it was fashionable, and her efforts paved the way for women in today's workplace. Diane's story is a results-driven vision that has always superceded traditional notions of keeping women barefoot and pregnant. For those who remember these times, it is nostalgic, and for young people today, it will give them a whole new idea of the pioneers who came before them.

CHAPTER NINE

PAULA MILANO
FORMER PRES., AXION SOLUTIONS
FORMER CEO, PARTNER, KI SOLUTIONS

Mind... "One of the most important, but one of the most difficult things for a powerful mind is to be its own master." Joseph Addison

Paula Milano is certainly not the traditional vision of how to rise to the top of corporate America, but a successful one, nevertheless. Graduating from high school, she had two children, and no career aspirations. She would be 25 years old before entering college, and embarking on the next phase of her life, once her children were in school. Taking an accelerated program, she managed to have her MBA in just five years. Entering companies like Hewlett Packard and Hughes Aircraft in the early '80's, when no women existed in either accounting or sales, she had her work cut out for her. Can't is clearly a word not in this woman's vocabulary. "From a career standpoint, I find so many women limiting themselves. I would say that if you create a vision, it will happen." Truly a story of mind over matter.

CHAPTER TEN

TERRI WEST
SR. VICE PRESIDENT, TEXAS INSTRUMENTS, INC.

(Complete chapter is included on this particular woman)

CHAPTER ELEVEN

PEGGY CHERNG
PRES., CEO, PANDA EXPRESS RESTAURANTS

Dreams... "Always dream and shoot higher than you know you can do. Don't bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself." William Faulkner

Peggy Cherng may be ruling the roost over a fast-food empire, but as a former systems designer with a Bachelor's degree in math, a Master's degree in computer science, and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, it's no wonder that her successful business venture is more a product of a good technical background, than it is of being Betty Crocker. As a woman in the early '70's, a PhD in electrical engineering was not the traditional route, but because Cherng knows it's served her well in the business community, she's now focused on outreach programs for young girls from the elementary level, on up the educational ladder. Hers may have been a circuitous route to success, but she's never lost site of a true balance in her life along the way. Her desire to raise her three girls with a hands-on approach took her from 16-hour workdays in corporate America, to running her own corporation on her own terms. She is an inspiration for anyone wishing to learn the ground rules of striking out on one's own.

CHAPTER TWELVE

RANDY GRANOVETTER
FORMER G.M., MICROSOFT'S IDEAGENCY
CEO, ECRIO, INC.

Education... "To teach, to guide, to explain, to help, to nurture---these are life's noblest attainments." Frank Tyger

A special education teacher whose expertise is in language would not seem to be the prototypical candidate to run companies specializing in technology, but that indeed is what Randy Granovetter has done. Through her work in educational arenas like Project Outreach and Headstart, she came to computers through the back door, needing them to get her protocols in the educational field, out to the world. Randy is a shining example of parlaying one career into another and her journey is a fascinating quest for knowledge, which leads to an entirely different career path. "The important thing in life is to know what you don't know, and have the thirst to want to find out." Randy Granovetter is the most likely of corporate successes, proving once again that life happens, while you're making other plans.

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

DR. NIEN TSU CHIEN
V.P., QUALITY SKYWORKS

Faith... "Faith that the thing can be done is essential to any great achievement."

A mathematician at heart, Nien Tsu Chien didn't have a clue as to what a semi-conductor was, but it became abundantly clear that teaching mathematics, according to her, was a quick way to starve to death. That said, her career path emerged with a vengeance, and her steps to find the quickest ways to succeed in business are legendary. "I entered this field by chance, but I learned that life takes you where your heart leads you. I have children now, whom I've tried to afford with all opportunities. I don't buy her dolls because she's a girl, or trucks because he's a boy. It's important to remember in life people have capabilities in many different arenas, and pre-programming them can be a mistake. Always try to realize your full potential, no matter what that might be." Dr. Chien's profile will encourage anyone who's felt trapped in a career, and encourage him or her to explore a myriad of other opportunities.

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

JENNIFER WODARCK
FORMER V.P., COUNTRYWIDE
DIVISIONAL PERFORMANCE MGR., BANK OF AMERICA

Curiosity... "Life was meant to be lived, and curiosity must be kept alive. One must never, for whatever reason, turn his back on life." Eleanor Roosevelt

Jennifer's byline should read, "Find your passion". She's a firm believer that motivation in whatever regard, will keep you focused and on track. "Passion can come in many forms. The first passion I had was to make enough money that I didn't have to have my kids subsist on macaroni and cheese and pancakes. After that it was having a passion about work, and loving what I do. It's important since so much of our lives are spent there. Too many people are working 9 – 5 in jobs they're just not enthusiastic about, and it's then drudgery. I'm at the top of my game now, so I do a lot of hiring. A good salesperson can be made, but they have to have drive, a focus, and I have to know that they have a plan." Wodarck believes that sometimes career paths take crooked routes, and people get frustrated because the straight line to success seems to elude them. But her story of belief in oneself will inspire others.

CHAPTER FIFTEEN

ROXANA ROSCOE
PRINCIPAL, DELOITTE & TOUCHE

Character... "The real judges of your character aren't your neighbors, your relatives, or even the people you play bridge with. The folks who really know you are the waiters and the clerks." Katherine Piper

Roxana Roscoe believes the key to her success is confidence. "You have to know what it is you're selling. You'd be surprised how many people I come across who flounder after digging deeper than two questions into what it is they sell. After that, the key to success is connecting with your target, the clients that you want. You build a relationship. Your client wants to look at you and say "this is someone I can hang out with for two years... the duration of the project. They want someone who understands their business, won't abandon them, and understands their issues. It's as simple as that."

Roscoe's rise from President of her college sorority to a partner at one of the biggest accounting firms in the world has been a voyage that's worth exploring. From her first days on the road... with her baby in tow... to her corner office as a corporate partner, Roxana Roscoe is someone we can all learn from.

CHAPTER SIXTEEN

DR. LILIANI LIAM
FAMILY AND COSMETIC DENTIST

Experience... "Experience is the hardest kind of teacher. It gives you the test first and the lesson afterward."

A role model at the age of 5, as a little girl growing up in Indonesia, was the inspiration for Dr. Liliani Liam to pursue her career goal... that of being a dentist. Her village dentist was always looked up to, and the tools of his trade were always a fascination to Liliani. But, the road would be paved with obstacles. Odd jobs, a nursing degree, coming to a new country and not knowing the language, would have held many others back. "Struggling has made me a stronger person. I worry more about my own children having too much, and not possessing the drive to want to get ahead." Dr. Liliani Liam's triumph over adversity as a stranger in a strange land serves as an example to anyone who faces challenges.

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

ROSEANN MATTERN
FORMER OWNER, PRESIDENT, OPTIMA SOFTWARE
EXEC. V.P., SERENA

Power.... "Wherever there is a man who exercises authority, there is a man who resists authority." Oscar Wilde

The twelfth of thirteen children, Roseann Mattern grew up in a small midwestern town.

"Coming from such a large family, and not having money, I learned at an early age that if you wanted something, you'd have to work to get it. Babysitting, housecleaning, whatever it took. That sense of earning things has served me well in my business life.

I would tell people today... take control of your life. Take control of your situation. Don't wait for a parent to do it for you; don't wait for your knight in shining armor. And, don't wait for the government." As someone who's worked both sides of the aisle, as an employee in the corporate world, and as the founder and owner of her own business, Roseann Mattern has a wealth of information to impart to others. "I heard something once that is extremely important. Whether you are dead or alive is determined by whether you are remembered or forgotten." Roseann Mattern is someone you won't forget.

Draft of my book has been completed and after six years, the book will be released in early 2016.
